Parent mode is the grown-up corner of your kid's device. Your 4-digit Parent PIN opens it.
Set your PIN
- On your phone, open jbq.games. Once you've added a kid, your home page shows Set PIN until you set one. Tap it. (You can also go to jbq.games/app/pin.)
- Type 4 digits. Type them again.
- Tap Save PIN.
One PIN works on every device you paired.
Open parent mode on a kid's device
- On your kid's home screen, tap the small lock in the top corner. On the Who's practicing? screen, tap Parent mode instead.
- Enter your PIN.
Parent mode stays open for 10 minutes. Tap Done to lock it sooner.
What you can do in parent mode
- Choose who's practicing. Tap a kid to sign them in. The kid with the yellow border is signed in now.
- Kids on this device. Check which of your kids can use this device. Shown when you have more than one kid.
- Switching kids. Choose whether kids can switch on their own or need your PIN. Tap Save. See Sharing one device between kids.
- Remove this device. Signs the device out for good. To use it again, pair it again.
Quizzing your kid and seeing their progress happen on your phone, not in parent mode. See Quiz My Kid.
Forgot your PIN?
Make a new one. On your phone, go to jbq.games/app/pin and save a new PIN. The old PIN stops working right away.
"No Parent PIN yet"
The device shows this when the parent who paired it hasn't set a PIN. Set one on your phone, then try again.
