Quiz My Kid

Ask your kid questions from your phone and tap whether they got it. Every answer counts toward their progress.

Quiz My Kid turns your phone into a quizmaster's card. You read, your kid answers out loud, and you tap whether they got it.

Start a round

  1. On your home page, tap your kid.
  2. Tap Quiz and their name, at the top of the page.
  3. Pick a set: Smart mix, 10s, 20s, 30s, or Quotations.

A round is 10 questions.

Smart mix puts this week's priority questions first. Then it adds reviews that are due, weak spots, and new questions. Each question shows a tag that says why it's there: Assigned, Review due, Needs work, or New.

Ask each question

  1. Read the question out loud. Or tap Read it and your phone reads it.
  2. Watch the yellow highlight. It ends at the interrupt point, marked with a red line. That's the word where your kid can buzz in. See The interrupt point, explained.
  3. Your kid answers out loud. If they stopped you early, they must finish the question first, then answer.
  4. Tap Show answer to check.
  5. If they interrupted and finished the question, check They interrupted and finished the question.
  6. Tap Got it! or Missed it.

How to judge an answer

  • Answers count "in essence": the same meaning, not the exact words.
  • Words in [brackets] are optional.
  • Parts joined by "and" are all needed. Parts joined by "or" need only one.
  • Quotation questions must be word-perfect, with the reference (book, chapter, and verse) before or after the verse.

When the round ends

You see the score. Tap Another round for 10 more questions, or See progress.

Your answers count a lot. A parent's call counts almost as much as a leader's. A Got it! with the interrupt box checked also builds your kid's interrupt skill.

Only a leader's in-person check-off at practice night can mark a question Verified.
