Your kid practices by talking, the way a real quiz meet works. There's no typing and no multiple choice.
What's on the home screen
- Points: store points from their church's prize store. Leaders set how points are earned.
- Day streak: days in a row with at least one answer.
- Answered today: answers that counted today.
- Reviews due: questions the app thinks they're about to forget.
- This week's priority questions: shows when a leader has assigned them. Tap Practice to go through them as flash cards.
The tools
- Interrupt Trainer. The app reads a question like a quizmaster. Your kid taps BUZZ (or presses the space bar) the moment they know which question it is. The app says whether the buzz was perfect, too early, or a little late. Then your kid finishes the question and answers out loud.
- Which One Is It? The question appears one word at a time, with a count of how many questions still match. Your kid taps Next word, or I know it! when they're sure. This one is tap-only, for learning. It doesn't change their progress.
- Flash Cards. The app reads the question. Your kid says the answer.
- Quotations. Quotation questions only. Your kid says the verse word-perfect, with its reference. Show first-letter hints helps while they learn. After each try, skipped, extra, and changed words are highlighted.
- Seal Practice. Practice tests for Bible Master seals. See Seal practice and the Fix-It list.
- My Cards. All 576 questions as collectible cards, colored by stage from bronze to verified. Tap a card to see it, and tap again to flip it to the answer.
Which questions come up
Each round is 10 questions. The app picks priority questions first, then reviews that are due, then weak spots, then new questions. If your kid's group practices only some point values (for example, 10-pointers for young kids), rounds stick to those.
Points for practicing
Kids earn a small bonus once a day when they answer enough questions. The default is 5 points after 10 answers. Your church's leaders can change it, or set it to 0 to turn it off. See Points and the prize store.
Interrupt Sprint
A 60-second drill for the most important skill at a meet: buzzing at the right word. Questions are read one after another, and your kid just buzzes. No answering.
- Perfect (right at the interrupt word): +3
- A little late: +1
- Too early (the question could still be a different one): −1
After each buzz the app shows the interrupt word. Questions your kid has already practiced come first, since buzzing well takes knowing the question. Their best score is saved.
Quotation Builder
The easiest way to memorize a quotation. The app splits the verse into short phrases:
- It says the first phrase, and your kid says it back.
- It adds the next phrase, and your kid says everything so far. Earlier phrases show only their first letters as hints.
- At the end, your kid says the whole verse with its reference, from memory.
Any word that's skipped or changed shows in color, so your kid knows exactly what to fix. After a missed quotation in the Quotations tool, tap Learn this verse step by step to open it in the builder.
Listen & Learn
A listening study mode, with nothing to answer out loud. The app reads each question, pauses so your kid can think of the answer, then reads the answer and moves on.
- Pick a set: their mix, this week's priority questions, the Fix-It list, a point value, or quotations.
- Change the think time (2, 4, or 6 seconds), or hear each question twice.
- Skip back or ahead, pause anytime, or tap Hear it again.
Parents can run it from their own phone too: tap Listen & Learn above your kids and pick a kid. It starts with their priority questions, which makes it good for the drive to practice night.
Listen & Learn isn't graded, so it doesn't change progress. Pair it with the Interrupt Trainer or Quiz My Kid to check what stuck.
