For everyone

How jbq.games protects kids

Kids have no accounts, others see only a first name and last initial, and kids can't message anyone.

jbq.games is built for kids, so we keep what we know about them small and in their parents' hands.

Parents own kid profiles

  • A kid profile is just a first name, last initial, grade, and avatar.
  • Kids have no email address and no password. A parent adds each kid and pairs each device.
  • A paired device holds a device key, not a password. You can remove a device any time from your phone.

What others can see

  • Anywhere other people see your kid, they see a first name and last initial, like "Ava R."
  • Leaders in your church program see your kid's name, grade, groups, priority questions, and points, plus your name as their parent. They need these to run practice night.

No messaging

Kids can't send messages to other kids or to leaders.

Voice answers

jbq.games doesn't save recordings of your kid's voice. It keeps the text the app heard as part of each answer's record. See Voice answers and the microphone.
